Corrine, an experienced Occupational therapist who has worked across various settings over 20 years, will be sharing more about supporting children with Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD). She will be sharing insightful, evidence-based strategies that can be integrated across the everyday classroom routine – from early childhood to tertiary settings. Session Outcomes:
Participants will:
- Identify the key signs of Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) and understand its impact on a child’s learning, play, and daily participation in school settings
- Educators will be able to recognize common difficulties and how they affect a student’s performance and engagement across classroom and routine activities.
- Implement practical classroom strategies to support students with DCD in building skills, confidence, and independence.
- Educators will learn evidence-informed approaches and simple accommodations that promote successful participation for students with DCD within everyday school routines.
