22nd AWWA Inclusion Experts Series
28 March, 2026  to  28 March, 2026

Session Description:

Moving beyond compliance or isolated strategies, inclusion will be explored as a shared belief system and collective responsibility. At the heart of the session is the understanding that inclusion requires teamwork. Educators, leaders, families, and children themselves all form part of the inclusion team. Beliefs strongly influence inclusive practice. The session will guide participants to examine how their own beliefs shape expectations and decisions.

Session Outcomes:

  • Reflect on their own beliefs about meaningful inclusion and how these influence their practice
  • Explore a framework for adapting everyday routines and activities to support inclusion
  • Enhance their knowledge of practical strategies to include all children in their programmes
  • Examine real-life examples of successful inclusive practices
